Editor’s note:  Differin Gel is not used in the same way as an acne spot treatment, it should be applied sparingly to the entire face, once daily.  May minimize irritation if applied every other day for the first week or two.  A moisturizer formulated for your skin type should be used after each application.  (In addition to treating acne, Differin increases collagen production, while reducing fine lines and wrinkles for those of us that suffer from both!)

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding avoid products containing retinoids (including retinol), salicylic acid (BHA), and hydroquinone.  Always discuss the use of any prescription or over-the-counter medications with your healthcare provider beforehand.
